Frequently asked questions

Does a Backstage account put me on the roster?

No. The account is independent of our roster. If you would like to be represented by the agency, send a separate application.

Can the agency see my data?

Only if you are on the roster, and only for the gigs the agency brings you. Your own gigs, your clients, invoices and expenses stay private. The agency does not look at them on its own. Only Backstage support can open your space to help you, every access is recorded in your history, and you can refuse it in your profile.

Can I use Backstage without the Pro plan?

Yes. Home page, calendar, repertoire, setlists, prompter, band and fee split, clients and client file, expenses, summary, stage plot and public page are free with no time limit. Only issuing documents (quotes, contracts, invoices) requires the Pro plan or credits.

Are your contract templates valid?

They are model texts, written for four situations and completed by an appendix for Luxembourg, Germany, France and Belgium. They do not replace a lawyer, and every contract says so in plain words. Your own version is yours to rewrite.

My repertoire is already in a spreadsheet

Download the template, paste your songs in, send the file back. A preview shows you line by line what will be created and what is wrong. Nothing is written before you confirm. Availability works the same way.

Does Backstage produce PDF files?

No, and that is on purpose. Every document opens as a page ready to print, and your browser saves it as a PDF from the print dialogue. The format and the file name stay in your hands.

How do I pay for the Pro plan?

You pay through a Revolut link, then we activate the plan manually within 24 hours. No automatic debit.

Can I cancel?

Yes, at any time. The plan stays active until the paid date, then your account goes back to free. Your data stays in place.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Invoices and expenses export to CSV for your accountant. Everything else (setlists, lyrics, day sheet, declaration of works, stage plot, payout receipts, documents) opens as a page ready to print, which your browser saves as a PDF.
